PADI MSDT and Specialty Instructor
The PADI Master Scuba Diver program is in fact five or more PADI Specialty Instructor Courses combined, you will take each one of these programs with your Course Director alongside the IDC, gaining hands on teaching experience, and benefiting from his knowledge and experience. Once you have completed each specialty instructor course, and the PADI Instructor Exams, you can start teaching these courses.
The smart move is to think about what Specialties you are enthusiastic about, what you would like to teach, what courses are likely to be popular in the area(s) you would like to work in once qualified. Being able to conduct specialty programs allows you to vary what you teach, and teach what you love.
Popular choices are Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep, Search and Recovery, Night, Digital Imaging and Self Reliant Diver, there are many more to choose from, go for what suits you best.

Before attending the course students are required to have a medical screening by a licensed physician, you will need to present the course director a signed medical clearance form before any training.
You can take any instructor specialty during or after the IDC, you will not be given teaching status until you have successfully completed the PADI Instructor Exams.
You will need at least 10 experience dives in each instructor specialty area you would like to apply for, for example if you would like to teach enriched air, you need to have logged at least 10 nitrox dives. We may be able to to some or all of these during the IDC, ask if you need help with this.
Some of the instructor specialty courses require diver level certification (such as Enriched Air), most do not. Cavern requires you to be a full cave diver, if you need some guidance on this ask us.
You will need a copy of the PADI Specialty Instructor Manual, this comes on a disk with your IDC crewpack so you most likely already have it, if you need a copy let us know and we will arrange it for you.
We have a limited number of twin bed fan dormitory rooms for 2500 PHP per person, per week. These come with a kitchenette and bathroom, simple backpacker style.
If you prefer something else we work with a number of local resorts and hotels, or you might like to check services like, AirBNB we can help with local information if needed.
A typical hotel room starts from 1500 per night and up, the average would be around 2000 PHP. A typical self service monthly rental room or studio from 10,000 PHP and up, the average around 15000 PHP per month.
Each Instructor Specialty is 5000 PHP, if you would like to save some cash purchase five or more at the same time and save 10% on everything. The application fee to PADI is currently (as of June 2018) $101 AUD per specialty.
Contact the Course Director as early as possible, we can only accept a limited number of students on to each program, it is wise to book your preferred date in advance, and work remotely with the Course Director for IDC pre study assignments. For starters he will need the following information
1-Your number of dives and experience
2-How long you have been diving
3-Environments you are experienced in
4-Any significant gaps in your experience
5- Specialties you are interested in
