  • Advanced Mixed Gas CCR Instructor

If you need some guidance as to which level would best suit you, get in touch and we can discuss your options

Course skill and knowledge requirements are set by both TDI and the CCR manufacturer, there will be some differences from one unit to another, and course content may vary depending on the level you are currently trained and experienced to.

Some of the subject areas are:

  • Emergency Procedures
  • Demonstrate proper cleaning and maintenance of the rebreather
  • Demonstrate proper analysis of all gas mixtures to be used
  • Demonstrate proficiency in teaching the TDI Diving Rebreathers Diver Program
  • Present a minimum of 1 graded presentation on a closed circuit rebreather topic

Student prerequisites vary depending on which course you choose, and the CCR you will train on.

Air Diluent Closed Circuit Rebreather Instructor Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age 21
  • Certified TDI unit specific Rebreather Diver
  • Certified TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor, or equivalent
  • Provide proof of 250 verified logged dives with 100 being on nitrox
  • Provide proof of minimum of 100 unit specific closed circuit rebreather logged dives; a minimum 100 hours duration over a minimum of one year
  • Assist on at least one complete unit specific user course to the satisfaction of the instructor trainer
  • If the rebreather is a TDI approved sidemount rebreather, the student must hold the TDI Sidemount Instructor certification or equivalent

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may teach the TDI Closed Circuit Rebreather Course not to exceed the manufacturers designed depth maximum of 30 metres/100 feet with air diluent.

Air Diluent Deco Closed Circuit Rebreather Instructor Prerequisites
