EFR Instructor Course

The Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor course provides certified First Aid and CPR practitioners the knowledge skills that are required to conduct a range of EFR courses that address different emergency scenarios if various regions around the world. PADI requires all of their instructors to be able to teach these valuable skills, which in addition to empowering bystanders to assist in medical emergencies, complement Rescue and Divemaster courses. These courses are conducted as part of our Instructor Development Courses, but we can also arrange standalone courses on request.

The Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor course consists of several skills demonstration workshops, which can also serve as a refresher, instructor and student-led classroom presentations, knowledge development sessions and written exams. It is typically conducted over 1.5 days.

The EFR Instructor course can be taken by anyone who is 18 years or older, and has had an EFR primary and secondary care certification (CPR and First Aid) training, or equivalent, within the past 24 months.

We offer training through our bases with Dive Moalboal in the Philippines, and with DiveStyle in the UK, packages vary slightly between the two locations so please use the tables below for comparison, if you have any questions at all do not hesitate to get in touch with us via the contact page, or any of the social media options found on the top and bottom of this page.

Comparing all of the different dive centers, the different locations, and all of the package options is confusing enough, so we’ll try and make it as simple as possible. If you find the same offer advertised for cheaper nearby, let us know, we will match any offer we can verify. Now, with the worry of paying too much out of the way, you can relax and focus on finding the best course for you.

How to book your course

We always have an Emergency First Response Instructor course scheduled during our Instructor Development Course, if you are attending an IDC this will already be part of your itinerary. If you are not joining the IDC, and would like to take the EFR instructor course as a standalone program we suggest you try and join the course scheduled as part of the IDC, with additional candidates comes the opportunity to participate in different scenarios, which is beneficial. If you cannot make one of those courses please let us know when you would like to attend, we will arrange that for you. Please get in touch with us via the contact page, or by using one of the social media options that can be found at the top and bottom of this page.
